Membership
The Sydney Library of Things (TSLoT) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community project with access to a wide variety of useful items for borrowing.
You can check the inventory online without creating an account.
Already a member? Click on the Log In tab above right and browse and reserve the items you wish to borrow.
How To Join
Anyone over 18 is welcome to join the Sydney Library of Things (TSLoT).
TSLoT is membership based - $85 annually ($60 Concession), $50 six monthly ($36 concession) and $30 quarterly ($22 concession). You only pay for your membership, not for borrowing items. The fees go to maintaining the library, tools, insurance and building the collection.
Members can borrow up to 5 items, for a loan period of 2 weeks. Items can be renewed for a further two weeks if they haven't been reserved by others.
It’s easy to sign-up:
- Click on Create Account above right, and complete the two step process.
- Fill in your details, agree to terms and conditions and confirm your email address.
- Purchase the right membership for you via our secure Stripe payment gateway.
- And please always bring in a government-issued photo ID to TSLoT when borrowing.
Reserving Items
Once you have chosen the items to reserve from the TSLoT website, you must go to the cart and submit it.

Your reservation is only complete when you have received a confirmation email.
Location, Pick-Up And Returns
We are in two locations.
The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton/North Sydney is open 9am to 12pm midday every Saturday.
The Lane Cove location on 47 Burns Bay Road is open 6pm to 8pm every Thursday.
Opening hours can change depending on public holidays - please check Facebook and/or our website for updates. Please respect the items and borrowing times to keep things running smoothly.
